The 10th International Seerat-ul-Nabi Conference organized by IUB concluded at Abbasia Campus

The 10th International Seerat-ul-Nabi Conference organized by Seerat Chair Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Studies the Islamia University of Bahawalpur concluded at Abbasia Campus today. Delegates from more than 100 universities and institutions including Jamia Azhar Egypt participated in this conference. Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Dr. Ehtisham Anwar participated as a chief guest in the closing session. Dr. Ehtisham Anwar said in his speech that holding a conference on the Prophet's (Peace Be Upon Him) biography is a positive step because there are many challenges in the present age which can only be solved in the light of the Prophet's teachings. He said that the Prophet ﷺ came as a mercy to the whole world and he created an ideal society where every human being was made aware of his value and status. Therefore, universities should play their role and in this regard, social media and all other modern Communication tools should be used effectively. He said that we are all born Muslims, when we call ourselves Muslims, we have many duties among them spreading the religion of Islam is the responsibility of every Muslim. Meanwhile the first session of the second day was presided over by Prof. Dr. Abdul Ghaffar, Chairman the Department of Jurisprudence and Shariah, Islamia University of Bahawalpur and Syed Liaquat Ali Gillani, while Allah Bakhsh Kuliar, a member of the Islamic Idealogy Council, was the guest of honor. The second session was participated by Dr. Ziaur Rahman, chairman of the Department Quranic Studies and Dr. Ghassan Saleh Abdul Majeed of International Islamic University Islamabad. In the closing speech, Dean Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Studies Prof. Dr. Sheikh Shafiqur Rahman thanked the delegates on behalf of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar. Focal person of the conference Prof. Dr. Hafiz Shafiqur Rahman, Director Seerat Chair presented the recommendations of the conference.

اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور میں انسانی اقدار اور معاشروں پر اثرات سیرت النبی ﷺ کی روشنی کے موضوع پر دسویں بین الاقوامی سیرت کانفرنس اختتام پذیر ہو گئی۔ سیرت چیئر فیکلٹی آف اسلامک اینڈ عربیک اسٹڈیز اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کے زیر اہتمام منعقد ہونے والی اس کانفرنس میں جامعہ ازہر مصر سمیت 100 سے زائد جامعات اور اداروں سے مندوبین نے شرکت کی۔ اختتامی سیشن میں کمشنر بہاول پور ڈویژن ڈاکٹر احتشام انور بطور مہمان خصوصی شریک ہوئے۔ کمشنر بہاول پور ڈویژن ڈاکٹر احتشام انور نے اپنے خطاب میں کہا کہ سیرت النبی ﷺ پر کانفرنس کا انعقاد ایک مثبت اقدام ہے کیونکہ عصر حاضر میں بہت سے چیلنجز موجود ہیں جن کو سیرت النبی ﷺ کی روشنی میں ہی حل کیا جا سکتا ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ حضور ﷺ پوری دنیا کے لیے رحمت اللعالمین بن کر آئے اور انہوں نے ایک مثالی معاشرہ تشکیل دیا جہاں ہر انسان کو اس کی قدر و منزلت کے بارے میں آگاہی دی گئی۔ نبی کریم ﷺ کی تعلیمات کو عالمی سطح پر پھیلانے کے لیے یونیورسٹیاں اپنا کردار ادا کریں اور اس سلسلے میں جدید ذرائع ابلاغ سوشل میڈیا کو موثر انداز میں استعمال کیا جائے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم سب مسلمان پیدا ہوئے ہیں جب ہم خود کو مسلمان کہتے ہیں تو ہم پر بہت سے فرائض لازم ہیں ان میں ایک دین اسلام کو پھیلانا ہر مسلمان کی ذمہ داری ہے۔ دوسرے روز کے تمام سیشنز عباسیہ کیمپس میں منعقد ہوئے۔ پہلے سیشن کی صدارت پروفیسر ڈاکٹر عبد الغفار چیئرمین شعبہ فقہ اینڈ شریعہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور نے کی اورسید لیاقت علی گیلانی ڈائریکٹر ریونیو اس سیشن کے مہمان خصوصی جبکہ اللہ بخش کلیار ممبر اسلامی نظریاتی کونسل مہمان اعزازتھے۔ دوسرے سیشن کی صدارت ڈاکٹر ضیاء الرحمن چیئرمین شعبہ قرآنی اسٹڈیز نے کی اور ڈاکٹر غسان صالح عبد المجید انٹرنیشنل اسلامک یونیورسٹی اسلام آباد مہمان خصوصی تھے۔ اختتامی خطاب میں ڈین فیکلٹی آف اسلامک اینڈ عربیک اسٹڈیز پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شیخ شفیق الرحمن نے وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نوید اختر کی جانب سے مندوبین کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔ کانفرنس کے فوکل پرسن پروفیسر ڈاکٹر حافظ شفیق الرحمن ڈائریکٹر سیرت چیئر نے کانفرنس کی سفارشات پیش کیں۔
