Under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar the 56th meeting of the Academic Council of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur was held at Baghdad-ul-Jadeed Campus. In the meeting, Director Academics Prof. Dr. Jawad Iqbal reviewed the implementation of the decisions made in the previous meeting. The participants approved the revised syllabus of BS Biomedical Engineering and BS Electrical Engineering Technology. According to the notification of the National Technology Council, the students with FSC Pre-Medical have been approved for admission in BS Electrical Engineering Technology. On this occasion, agenda items related to the Department of Translation Studies, the Department of Information Technology and Department of Architecture were also considered. Revised syllabus of MS Information Technology approved. Revised admission policy approved for Bachelor of Architecture 5-year program as per architecture council policy. In the meeting, the reconstitution of the University Anti-Plagiarism Standing Committee and the adoption of the Anti-Plagiarism Committee Vision 2 were approved. The syllabus of Department of Plant Breeding and Genetics was discussed. The implementation of Higher Education Commission Graduate Policy 2023 was approved. The official name of the Directorate of Advanced Studies and Research was approved. The policy of Postdoctoral Fellowship Program was also discussed in the meeting. Deans, heads of teaching and administrative departments were present in the meeting.

بہاول پور (پ) اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کی اکیڈمک کونسل کا 56 واں اجلاس وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نوید اختر کی زیر صدارت منعقد ہوا۔ اجلاس میں ڈائریکٹر اکیڈیمکس پروفیسر ڈاکٹر جواد اقبال نے گزشتہ اجلاس میں کئے گئے فیصلوں پر عملدرآمد کا جائزہ پیش کیا۔ شرکا نے بی ایس بائیو میڈیکل انجینئرنگ اور بی ایس الیکٹریکل انجینئرنگ ٹیکنالوجی کے نظر ثانی نصاب کی منظوری دی۔ نیشنل ٹیکنالوجی کونسل کے نوٹیفکیشن کے مطابق ایف ایس سی پری میڈیکل کے حامل طلبا و طالبات کو بی ایس الیکٹریکل انجینئرنگ ٹیکنالوجی میں داخلہ دینے کی منظوری دی گئی۔ انجینئرنگ ٹیکنالوجی الیکٹریکل پروگرام میں ایم ایس ڈگری پروگرام شروع کرنے کے لیے ہائر ایجوکیشن کمیشن سے اجازت لینے کی منظوری دی گئی۔ اس موقع پر ڈیپارٹمنٹ آف ٹرانسلیشن اسٹڈیز، ڈیپارٹمنٹ آف انفارمیشن ٹیکنالوجی اور ڈیپارٹمنٹ آف آرکیٹیکچر سے متعلق ایجنڈا ایٹمز پر بھی غور کیا گیا۔ ایم ایس انفارمیشن ٹیکنالوجی کے نظر ثانی شدہ نصاب کی منظوری دی گئی۔ آرکیٹیکچر کونسل کی پالیسی کے مطابق بیچلر آف آرکیٹکچر 5 سالہ پروگرام میں نظر ثانی داخلہ پالیسی کی منظوری دی گئی۔ اجلاس میں یونیورسٹی انٹی پلیجرزم سٹنڈنگ کمیٹی کی ازسرنو کی تشکیل اور انٹی پلیجرزم کمیٹی ویژن 2 کو اپنانے کی منظوری دی گئی۔ شعبہ پلانٹ بریڈنگ اینڈ جینٹکس کے نصاب سے متعلق تبادلہ خیال کیا گیا۔ ہائر ایجوکیشن کمیشن گریجویٹ پالیسی 2023 کے نفاذ کی منظوری دی گئی۔ ڈائریکٹوریٹ آف ایڈوانسڈ اسٹڈیز اینڈ ریسرچ کے آفیشل نام کی منظوری دی گئی۔ اجلاس میں پوسٹ ڈاکٹریٹ فیلوشپ پروگرام کی پالیسی بھی زیر غور آئی۔ اجلاس میں ڈینز، تدریسی اور انتظامی شعبہ جات کے سربراہان موجود تھے۔
