The 83rd Syndicate meeting was held at Abbasia Campus under the chairmanship of WVC Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob

The 83rd Syndicate meeting of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur was held yesterday at Abbasia Campus under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob. The meeting approved the budget for the financial year 2023-24. The total budget has been estimated Rs. 12930 million, the ongoing expenditure estimated Rs. 10687 million, and the development budget worth Rs. 2242 million. In the meeting, the recommendations of the previous selection board meetings were approved. In the meeting, the establishment of Seerah Garden and Centre for Women in STEM was approved. The members of the Syndicate approved the recommendations of the Standing Committee for Discipline  . Registrar Prof. Dr. Moazzam Jamil presented a review report on the implementation of the decisions taken in the 81st and 82nd meetings of the Syndicate. Apart from this, other administrative, financial, and teaching matters were taken into consideration. Earlier, after the recitation of the Holy Quran, fatiha was recited in the meeting for Malik Habibullah Bhutta, while paying tribute to his educational and social services, the Vice Chancellor said that his services will be recognised by awarding  honorary PhD  in the upcoming convocation. In the meeting, Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar, Prof. Dr. Akram Chaudhry, former Vice Chancellor Sargodha University, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Amjad, Dean Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Jawad Iqbal, Dean Faculty of Management Sciences, Prof. Dr. Shazia Anjum, Dean Faculty of Chemical and Biological Sciences, were present in the meeting. Prof. Dr. Moazzam Jamil Registrar, Rizwan Majeed, Treasurer, Prof. Dr. Abdul Rauf, Director Institute of Chemistry, Dr. Mughees Amin, Dr. Samina Durrani, Director Finance Higher Education Commission, Shah Sawar, representative Finance Department, Tariq Mehmood, representative Higher Education Department, Bushra Mehboob, Principal Govt. Women College Khanpur, Dr. Muhammad Rafay, Associate Professor, Dr. Samar Fahad, Assistant Professor, and Muhammad Zaman, Lecturer participated.

اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کی سینڈیکیٹ کا 83 واں اجلاس وائس چانسلر انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب کی زیر صدارت عباسیہ کیمپس میں منعقد ہوا۔ اجلاس مالیاتی سال 24-2023 کے بجٹ کی منظوری دی گئی۔ بجٹ کا کل تخمینہ 12930 ملین  روپے ہے، جاری اخراجات کا تخمینہ 10687 ملین روپے اور ترقیاتی بجٹ 2242 ملین روپے ہے۔ اجلاس میں گزشتہ سلیکشن بورڈ اجلاسوں کی سفارشات کی منظوری دی گئی۔ اجلاس میں سیرہ گارڈن اور سنٹر فار ویمن ان سٹم کے قیام کی منظوری دی گئی۔ نظم و ضبط کیلئے قائمہ کمیٹی کی تجویز کے بارے میں سفارشات کی منظوری دی گئی۔ رجسٹرار پروفیسر ڈاکٹر معظم جمیل نے سینڈیکیٹ کے 81 ویں اور 82 ویں اجلاس میں کیے گئے فیصلوں پر عملدرآمد کی جائزہ رپورٹ پیش کی۔ اسکے علاوہ دیگر انتظامی، مالیاتی اور تدریسی امور زیر غور آئے۔ قبل ازیں تلاوت قرآن پاک کے بعد اجلاس میں ملک حبیب اللہ بھٹہ کی وفات پر فاتحہ خوانی کی گئی اور ان کی تعلیمی اور سماجی خدمات پر خراج تحسین پیش کرتے ہوئے وائس چانسلر نے کہا کہ انہیں یونیورسٹی کی جانب سے آئندہ کانووکیشن میں اعزازی پی ایچ ڈی کی ڈگری دی جانی تھی۔ اجلاس میں پرو وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نوید اختر، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اکرم چوہدری سابق وائس چانسلر سرگودھا یونیورسٹی، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد امجد ڈین انجینئرنگ فیکلٹی، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر جواد اقبال ڈین فیکلٹی آف مینجمنٹ سائنسز، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شازیہ انجم ڈین فیکلٹی آف کیمیکل اینڈ بائیو لوجیکل سائنسز، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر معظم جمیل رجسٹرار، رضوان مجید خزانہ دار، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر عبدالروف ڈائریکٹر انسٹیٹیوٹ آف کیمسٹری، ڈاکٹر مغیث امین، ڈاکٹر ثمینہ درانی، ڈائریکٹر فنانس ہائر ایجوکیشن کمیشن، شہسوار نمائندہ فنانس ڈیپارٹمنٹ، طارق محمود نمائندہ ہائرایجوکیشن ڈیپارٹمنٹ، بشرہ محبوب، پرنسپل گورنمنٹ ویمن کالج خان پور،  ڈاکٹر محمد رافع ایسوسی ایٹ پروفیسر، ڈاکٹر ثمر فہد اسسٹنٹ پروفیسر اور محمد زمان لیکچرار نے شرکت کی۔
