Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has said that the research activities have to be prioritized according to the aspirations and needs of the country so that the fruits of the research activities in the universities benefit the country. Research activities in the Islamia University of Bahawalpur have been aligned on the same lines for the past few years with the aim of contributing to the social and economic development of the country. The Vice-Chancellor expressed these views while addressing the ceremony of distribution of certificates to the best researchers of the year 2020 on behalf of the Directorate of Research ORIC. On this occasion, certificates of appreciation were awarded to 2 top researchers from each faculty. The Vice-Chancellor said that the aim of our research activities is to bring positive effects in the society so that the university practically participate in the development of the society. Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar, Dean Faculty of Islamic Learning Prof. Dr. Sheikh Shafiq-ur-Rehman, Dean Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Aftab Hussain Gillani, Dean Faculty of Management Sciences, Prof. Dr. Jawad Iqbal, Dean Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Prof. Dr. Saeed Buzdar, Treasurer Prof. Dr. Abubakar, and senior teachers were present. Director ORIC Dr. Muhammad Atif briefed about the short and long-term research projects in his directorate and said that along with the publication of research activities, attention should has been drawn towards innovation, inventions, research grants and business activities so that Research activities get promoted in universities.

انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور نے کہا ہے کہ تحقیقی سرگرمیوں کو ملک و قوم کی امنگوں اور ترجیحات کے مطابق ڈھالنا ہو گا تاکہ جامعات میں ہونے والی تحقیقی سرگرمیوں کے ثمرات سے وطن عزیز کو فائدہ پہنچے۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور میں تحقیقی سرگرمیاں گزشتہ چند برسوں سے انہی خطوط پر استوار ہیں جن کا مقصد ملک کی سماجی اور معاشی ترقی میں اپنا حصہ ڈالنا ہے۔ وائس چانسلر نے ان خیالات کا اظہار گزشتہ روز ڈائریکٹوریٹ آف ریسرچ اورک کی جانب سے سال 2020 کے بہترین محققین میں تقسیم اسناد کی تقریب سے خطاب میں کیا۔ اس موقع پر ہر فیکلٹی سے 2 ٹاپ ریسرچرز کو توصیفی سرٹیفیکٹ عطا کیے گئے۔ وائس چانسلر نے کہا کہ ہماری تحقیقی سرگرمیوں کا مقصد معاشرے میں مثبت اثرات لانا ہے تاکہ جامعہ عملی طور پر معاشرے کی ترقی میں شریک ہو۔ تقریب میں پرو وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نوید اختر، ڈین فیکلٹی آف اسلامک لرننگ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شیخ شفیق الرحمن، ڈین فیکلٹی آف لاء پروفیسر ڈاکٹر آفتاب حسین گیلانی، ڈین فیکلٹی آف مینجمنٹ سائنسز پروفیسر ڈاکٹر جواداقبال، ڈین فیکلٹی آف فزیکل اینڈ میتھا میٹیکل سائنسز پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سعید بزدار، خزانہ دار پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ابوبکر، اور سینئر اساتذہ کرام موجود تھے۔ ڈائریکٹر اورک ڈاکٹر محمد عاطف نے بریفنگ میں اپنے ڈائریکٹوریٹ میں قلیل اور طویل مدت میں ہونے والی تحقیقی منصوبوں سے متعلق آگاہ کیا اور کہا کہ تحقیقی سرگرمیوں کی اشاعت کے ساتھ ساتھ جدت، ایجادات، ریسرچ گرانٹس اور کاروباری سرگرمیوں کی جانب توجہ مبذول کرنا ہے تاکہ جامعات میں تحقیقی سرگرمیاں فروغ پائیں۔
