The First Board of Faculty Meeting in the Social Sciences Was Held

The first Board of Faculty Meeting in the Social Sciences was held online and chaired by Prof. Dr. Rubina Bhatti, Incharge/ Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences. The Board discussed and approved the minutes of the meetings of board of studies of five teaching departments that included the Department of Applied Psychology, Department of Economics, Department of Library & Information Science, Department of Media Studies, and Department of Social Work. The Board approved the scheme of studies for BS in Sociology and BS in Anthropology. The Board also endorsed the minutes of the meeting of the board of studies of the Department of Political Science. Other agenda items and matters relating to organizing an International Conference on Social Sciences, launching of research journals, and subscription of the research tools were discussed and required decisions were made. The board members thanked the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob on the constitution of the Board of Faculty in the Social Sciences, a newly established faculty.

شعبہ سوشل سائنسز اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں فیکلٹی کا پہلا اجلاس آن لائن منعقد ہوا۔ یہ اجلاس پروفیسر ڈاکٹر روبینہ بھٹی، انچارج / ڈین، فیکلٹی آف سوشل سائنسز کی زیر صدارت منعقد ہوا جس میں بورڈ نے پانچ تدریسی شعبہ جات کے بورڈ آف اسٹڈیز کے اجلاسوں کی سفارشات پر تبادلہ خیال اور منظوری دی۔ ان میں اطلاقی نفسیات، شعبہ معاشیات، شعبہ لائبریری اور انفارمیشن سائنس، شعبہ میڈیا اسٹڈیز، اور شعبہ سوشل ورک شامل ہیں۔ بورڈ نے سوشیالوجی میں بی ایس اور انتھروپولوجی میں بی ایس کے لئے مطالعاتی اسکیم کی منظوری دی۔ بورڈ نے شعبہ پولیٹیکل سائنس کے بورڈ آف اسٹڈیز کے اجلاس کی سفارشات کی توثیق بھی کی۔ سوشل سائنسز پر بین الاقوامی کانفرنس کے انعقاد، تحقیقی جرائد کے اجراء، تحقیقی فورمز کی رکنیت سے متعلق امور پر تبادلہ خیال کیا گیا۔ بورڈ کے ممبران نے نئی قائم شدہ فیکلٹی آف سوشل سائنسز میں بورڈ آف فیکلٹی کی تشکیل پر وائس چانسلرپروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔
