The Introductory Ceremony of the Certificate Course in Persian Language held at IUB

The introductory ceremony of the certificate course in Persian Language was organized by the Department of Persian at the Islamic Learning Faculty Auditorium. The event was presided over by Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Syed Tabish Alwari, Parliamentarian and Social Worker, Prof. Dr. Aftab Gillani, Dean Faculty of Law, Dr. Rafiqul Islam, Chairman, Department of Iqbaliat, faculty and students was present. Dr. Ismat Durrani, Chairperson, Department of Persian, welcomed the participants and thanked the Vice Chancellor for approving the certificate course and formally initiating the course. Dr. Mustafa Haider Zaidi, Certificate Coordinator of the course explained the aims and objectives of the course and highlighted the importance of Persian. There can be no shortage in any era Syed Tabish Alwari and Prof. Dr. Aftab Gillani highlighted the importance of Persian as the official language of the subcontinent and paid tribute to the dean of the university and the department for keeping Persian candles burning in unfavorable conditions. Shahid Durrani, Director Career Counseling IUB spoke on the course and discussed its usefulness. At the end of the ceremony, the Vice Chancellor distributed checks of prize money among MA position holder students.

شعبہ فارسی کے زیر اہتمام سرٹیفیکیٹ کورس کی تعارفی تقریب اسلامک لرننگ فیکلٹی آڈیٹوریم میں منعقد ہوئی۔تقریب کی صدارت  پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب، وائس چانسلر دی اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی اف بہاول پور نے کی، جبکہ سید تابش الوری، معروف شاعر، ادیب،کالم نویس،  پارلیمنٹیرین اور سماجی کارکن نے کی۔پروفیسر ڈاکٹر آفتاب گیلانی،ڈین فیکلٹی آف لا،ڈاکٹر رفیق الاسلام صدر شعبہ اقبالیات، اساتذہ، طلبہ اور عمائدین نے شرکت کی۔نظامت کے فرائض ڈاکٹر مسرت واجد نے ادا کیے اور تمام مہمانان گرامی کو خوش آمدید کہا۔ڈاکٹر عصمت درانی، صدر شعبہ فارسی نے استقبالیہ کلمات کہے اور سرٹیفیکیٹ کورس کی منظوری اور باقاعدہ آغاز پروائس چانسلر کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔انھوں نے گذشتہ ایک سال کے دوران شعبے کی کارکردگی پر روشنی ڈالی اور مستقبل کے منصوبوں اور عزائم سے آگاہ کیا۔ڈاکٹر مصطفی حیدر زیدی، کوارڈینیٹر سرٹیفیکیٹ کورس نے کورس کے اغراض ومقاصد بیان کیے اور فارسی کی اہمیت کو اجاگر کیا۔تقریب سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے وائس چانسلر انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹراطہر محبوب نے شعبہ فارسی کی کارکردگی کو سراہا اور کہا کہ فارسی زبان و ادب کی اہمیت کسی دور میں کم نہیں ہو سکتی۔سید تابش الوری اور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر آفتاب گیلانی نے برصغیر کی سرکاری زبان ہونے کے ناطے فارسی کی اہمیت پر روشنی ڈالی اور غیر مساعد حالات میں فارسی کی شمع فروزاں رکھنے پر رئیس جامعہ اور شعبے کو خراج تحسین پیش کیا۔شاہد درانی، ڈائریکٹر کیرئیر کونسلنگ آئی یو بی نے کورس سے متعلق اظہار خیال کیا اور اس کی افادیت پر سیر حاصل گفتگو کی۔تقریب کے اختتام پر وائس چانسلر نے ایم اے کے پوزیشن ہولڈر طلبہ میں انعامی رقم کے چیک تقسیم کیے۔ شعبہ فارسی کی جانب سے انھیں اور دیگر معزز مہمانوں کو شعبے کے اساتذہ کی تصانیف بطور تحفہ پیش کی گئیں۔
