The Islamia University of Bahawalpur Excels in Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2025

IUB has achieved a significant milestone in the prestigious THE World University Rankings (WUR) 2025. IUB is pleased to announce its enhanced global ranking, progressing from the 1001-1200 bracket to the esteemed 801-1000 tier. Nationally, IUB secured an impressive 10th position among 47 participating Pakistani universities.

IUB's remarkable performance has been boosted by substantial enhancements in three key areas;

1. Research Quality: Notable advancements in citation impact, research strength, research excellence, and research influence.

2. International Outlook: Increased global diversity among staff, students, and research collaborations.

3. Teaching: Enhanced learning environment.

These achievements are a testament to the firm dedication and expertise of our faculty members, who have played a pivotal role in conducting high-quality research that has significantly elevated IUB's ranking.

Prof. Dr. Asadullah Madni, Director, Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), commended the collective efforts of the QEC team, faculty, and administration.
