The Islamia University of Bahawalpur organized 3rd two-day international conference on research in special education

The 3rd two-day international conference on research in special education was held under the auspices of the Department of Special Education, Faculty of Education, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. In the conference, Prof. Datuk Dr. Yasmin Hussain, Faculty of Education and Liberal Studies, City University Malaysia, Dr. Rafidah Agha Mohd Jaladin Associate Professor, Department of Education, University of Malaya, Malaysia, Prof. Dr. Nidhi Aggarwal, Faculty of Social Sciences, Lincoln University College, Malaysia, Dr. Naveed Saleh Hadin, Faculty of Sciences and Mathematics University, Pendidikan Sultan Idris. Malaysia, Dr. Noor Saleh Hadin, Research Monitoring Coordinator, Research Management and Innovation Center Sultan Idris Education University Malaysia addressed online sources. Prof. Dr. Abdul Hameed Dean of Social Sciences and Humanities, UMT Lahore, Prof. Dr. Shaheen Pasha Former Chairperson Department of Special Education University of Education Lahore, Prof. Dr. Rana Muhammad Dilshad Chairman Department of Education Bahauddin Zakaria University Multan, Prof. Dr. Tanzeela Nabil Chairperson Department Special Education Allama Iqbal Open University Islamabad, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Shahid Farooq, Chairman, Department of Advanced Studies in Education, Punjab University, Lahore, Dr. Zahida Parveen, Associate Professor, Department of Special Education, University of Education, Lahore participated in conference. Special guest Prof. Dr. Shazia Anjum, Dean, Faculty of Chemical and Biological Sciences encouraged the management of the Special Education Department and termed the conference as a milestone for special education. She said that under the direction of Vice Chancellor Prof. Naveed Akhtar, the Department of Special Education is working very actively. Along with teaching and research activities, great work is being done in this field for the welfare of special people. There is a lot of scope for research in the field of special education in Pakistan and Islamia University of Bahawalpur has the honor of having high level research activities in the field of special education based here. Chairperson Prof. Dr. Nasreen Akhtar said that International Day of Special Persons was celebrated recently in which high personalities including the Vice Chancellor participated and encouraged special students. She also thanked the delegates who participated in the conference. Javed Ahmed Siddiqui, CEO, Helping Hand for Relief and Development, emphasized on giving special attention to the education of special persons and to increase its importance, he also narrated Quranic verses and also narrated some experiences of his life. Prof. Dr. Shaheen Pasha, former chairperson Department of Special Education University of Education Lahore appreciated the efforts of all the people related to special education. Prof. Dr. Abdul Hameed Dean of Social Sciences and Humanities, UMT Lahore encouraged the special children and emphasized to focus on making them independent. Guest of Honor Amber Tanseer thanked the Chairperson of Special Education Department and all the organizers. Muhammad Umar Sharif District Officer Department of Special School Education Bahawalpur encouraged all the organizers and students of special education departments and highlighted the importance of technical education for special students. More than hundred domestic and foreign delegates attended the conference. On the second day of the conference, Prof. Dr. Rubina Bhatti, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Irshad Hussain, Dean, Faculty of Education, Prof. Dr. Akhtar Ali, Dean, Faculty of Online and Distance Education, Dr. Hafiz Tahir Jameel, Assistant Professor, Department of Special Education, Allama Iqbal Open University Islamabad, Muhammad Zia ur Rahman, Dr. Muhammad Nadeem Iqbal, Muhammad Shaukat Zaman, Dr. Hina Hidayatullah Ali, Dr. Hina Fazal, Muhammad Mazhar, Faiza Rehman, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Shahid Farooq, Rubina Usman Ali, Asma Afzal addressed the conference.
