The Islamia University of Bahawalpur is being taken steps to start classes in the newly established University College of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences. In this regard, a delegation of Special Health Care and Medical Education Department, Government of the Punjab visited the University College of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences. The purpose of the visit was to link the University College of Nursing with the government hospitals. The delegation was called on the Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob and Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar. The delegation included Dr. Mansoor Ghani, Assistant Professor, Secretary Affiliation Committee, University of Sciences, Lahore and Mubashira Maqbool, Assistant Director General, Punjab. Dr. Fazal Mehmood Khan, Director Health Education, Dr. Farhan Principal University College of Nursing and faculty members were present on the occasion. The members of the delegation expressed happiness over the establishment of State of the Art University College of Nursing at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. They appreciated the infrastructure and facilities provided in the college and assured all possible cooperation from their side. The delegation was informed that a large number of Allied Medical Education undergraduate and postgraduate programs are being launched at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. It is worth mentioning that a few days ago a delegation of Nursing Council also visited the University College of Nursing the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and had meeting with Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar and faculty members and reviewed the facilities of the college. It is hoped that classes will be launched in the nursing college very soon.

اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں نوقائم شدہ نرسنگ کالج میں کلاسز کے جلد از جلد اجرا کے لیے اقدامات جا ری ہیں۔ اس سلسلے میں سپیشل ہیلتھ کیئر اینڈ میڈیکل ایجوکیشن ڈیپارٹمنٹ حکومت پنجاب کے وفد نے فیکلٹی آف میڈیسن اینڈ الائیڈ ہیلتھ سائنسز کا دورہ کیا۔ اس دورے کا مقصد یونیورسٹی کالج آف نرسنگ کو سرکاری ہسپتال سے منسلک کرنا تھا۔ وفد نے وائس چانسلر انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب اور پرو وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نوید اختر سے ملاقات کی۔ وفد میں ڈاکٹر منصور غنی، اسسٹنٹ پروفیسر سیکریٹری ایفیلیشن کمیٹی یونیورسٹی آف سائنسز لاہورا ور مبشرہ مقبول اسسٹنٹ ڈائریکٹر جنرل پنجاب شامل تھے۔ اس موقع پر ڈاکٹر فضل محمود خان ڈائریکٹر ہیلتھ ایجوکیشن،ڈاکٹر فرحان پرنسپل نرسنگ کالج، اور فیکلٹی ممبران موجود تھے۔ وفد کے ارکان نے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں سٹیٹ آف آرٹ یونیورسٹی نرسنگ کالج کے قیام پر اظہار مسرت کیا۔ انہوں نے کالج میں فراہم کیے گئے انفرانسٹکچر اور سہولیات کو سراہتے ہوئے اپنی جانب سے ہر ممکن تعاون کا یقین دلایا۔ وفد کو آگاہ کیا گیا کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں الائیڈ میڈیکل ایجوکیشن انڈرگریجویٹ  اور پوسٹ گریجویٹ پروگراموں کو وسیع تعداد میں شروع کیا جا رہا ہے۔ یہ بات قابل ذکر ہے کہ چند روز قبل نرسنگ کونسل کے وفد نے بھی یونیورسٹی کالج کا دورہ کیا۔پرو وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نوید اختر، فیکلٹی ممبران سے تبادلہ خیال کیا اور کالج کی سہولیات کا جائزہ لیا۔ امیدکی جا رہی ہے کہ نرسنگ کالج میں جلد از جلد کلاسز کا اجرا ہو جائے گا۔
