The two day International Conference on Fiqr-e-Iqbal has come to an end at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. The conference was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob. On this occasion, guests of honor Sajada-e-Nasheen Darbar Alia Khawaja Ghulam Farid Khawaja Qutbuddin Faridi, while Justice (retd) Nasira Javed Iqbal participated online. The conference was organized by the Department of Iqbaliat of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. In his inaugural address, Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob said that after completing their primary and secondary education, students come to the university to pursue higher education, comparative studies and to highlight their intellectual abilities. Iqbal's message to the youth is that they should be sincere and strive for the cause for which man is made. On this occasion, the Vice Chancellor recited a poem on love and struggle in connection with the battle of Yarmouk. He said that Allama Iqbal gave a metaphor in this poem that when one struggles with full faith, trust and passion of love, success will be achieved. Nations that sacrifice individual interests for the common good succeed. He also referred to the advice of “Budha Baloch” to the youth in Kalam Iqbal and said that Iqbal's poetry motivates the youth. He said that the Department of Iqbaliat was recently set up at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur so that the message of Iqbal could be spread nationally and internationally. Prof. Dr. Basira Umbereen, Director, Iqbal Academy, Punjab University, said in her dissertation that the popularity of Kalam Iqbal and Afkar Iqbal is increasing day by day all over the world and the Pakistani nation is also benefiting from Afkar Iqbal and is deeply attached to them. Dr. Tanzeem Al-Firdous, Department of Urdu, Karachi University, referring to Azeem Ahmed's book Iqbal Nai Tashkeel, said that Iqbal is included in the front page poets and thinkers. To understand Iqbal, it is necessary to know all the civilizations of the ancient times. In fact, Iqbal's thoughts are for all mankind. Justice (retd) Nasira Javed Iqbal congratulated the Vice Chancellor on the establishment of the Department of Iqbaliat. He said that the message of both Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal was in the context of Quranic teachings that there is no compulsion in religion and we should be active for the betterment of humanity and creatures. Prof. Dr. Javed Hassan Chandio, Dean, Faculty of Arts and Languages said that the Department of Iqbaliat is definitely new but the people working in it are very capable. The holding of the International Iqbal Conference is an indication that the people are doing their best. Allama Iqbal has given a message to put the scattered things together and put them in order. He gave thought to a nation in the subcontinent and unite it. He welcomed all the participants in the conference and congratulated to Dr. Rafiq-ul-Islam, Head of the Department of Iqbaliat and his entire team. Meanwhile, in the concluding session held today, Dean Faculty of Arts and Languages Prof. Dr. Javed Hassan Chandio and Head Department of Iqbaliat Dr. Rafiqul Islam thanked the delegates of the conference. He also extended special thanks to the Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob for the special support of the conference. اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپو رمیں دو روزہ بین الاقوامی کانفرنس عصر حاضر میں فکر اقبال کی ضرورت و افادیت اختتام پذیر ہو گئی۔ کانفرنس کا افتتاح وائس چانسلر انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب نے کیا۔ اس موقع پرمہمانان اعزاز سجادہ نشین دربار عالیہ خواجہ غلام فرید خواجہ قطب الدین فریدی جسٹس ریٹائرڈ ناصرہ جاوید اقبال بذریعہ آن لائن شریک ہوئیں۔ یہ کانفرنس شعبہ اقبالیات جامعہ اسلامیہ کے زیر اہتمام منعقد ہوئی۔ خطبہ صدارت میں وائس چانسلر انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب نے کہا کہ ابتدائی اور ثانوی تعلیم حاصل کرنے کے بعد طلبا ء یونیورسٹی میں اعلیٰ تعلیم کے حصول، تنقیدی و تقابلی جائزے اورذہنی صلاحیتوں کو اجاگر کرنے آتے ہیں۔ نوجوانوں کے لیے اقبال کا پیغام ہے کہ وہ اس نیابت کے لیے مخلص ہو جائیں اور جدو جہد کریں جس مقصد کے لیے انسان کو مسجود ملائک بنا۔ علامہ اقبال نے خودی، خود شناسی، قرآن فہمی، عشق اور جدو جہد کا درس دیا۔ اس موقع پر وائس چانسلر نے جنگ یرموک کے حوالے سے عشق اور جدو دجہد پر ایک نظم بیان کی۔ انہوں نے کہاکہ علامہ اقبال نے اس نظم میں ایک استعارہ دیا کہ جب پورے یقین، اعتماد اور جذبہ عشق سے جدوجہد کی جائے تو کامیابی ملے گی۔ جو اقوام اجتماعی مفادات کے لیے انفرادی فوائد کو قربان کر دیتی ہیں انہی کو کامیابی ہوتی ہے۔ انہوں نے کلام اقبال میں نوجوانوں کو بڈھے بلوچ کی نصیحت کا بھی حوالہ دیا اور کہا کہ اقبال کی شاعری نوجوانوں کو متحرک کرتی ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں حال ہی میں شعبہ اقبالیات کا قیام عمل میں آیا تاکہ پیغام اقبال کو قومی اور عالمی سطح تک پھیلایا جا سکے۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر بصیرہ عنبرین ڈائریکٹر اقبال اکادمی پنجاب یونیورسٹی نے اپنے مقالے میں کہا کہ پوری دنیا میں کلام اقبال اور افکار اقبال کی مقبولیت روزبروز بڑھ رہی ہے اور پاکستانی قوم بھی افکار اقبال سے بہرمند ہور ہی ہے اوران سے دلی وابستگی رکھتی ہے۔ ڈاکٹر تنظیم الفردوس شعبہ اردو جامعہ کراچی نے عظیم احمد کی کتاب اقبال نئی تشکیل کا حوالہ دیتے ہوئے کہا کہ اقبال کو صفحہ اول کے شاعر اور مفکرین میں شامل کیا جاتا ہے۔ اقبال کو سمجھنے کے لیے عہد قدیم کی تمام تہذیبوں کو جاننا ضروری ہے۔ حقیقت میں افکار اقبال تمام نوع انسان کے لیے ہیں۔ جسٹس ریٹائرڈ ناصرہ جاوید اقبال نے وائس چانسلر کو شعبہ اقبالیات کے قیام پر مبارکباد دی۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ قائداعظم اور علامہ اقبال دونوں کا پیغام قرآنی تعلیمات کے تناظر میں تھا کہ دین میں کوئی جبر نہیں اور ہمیں انسانیت اور مخلوقات کی بہتری کے لیے سرگرم رہنا چاہیے۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر جاوید حسان چانڈیو ڈین فیکلٹی آف آرٹس اینڈ لینگوئجز کا کہنا تھا کہ شعبہ اقبالیات نیا ضرور ہے لیکن اس میں کام کرنے والے لوگ بہت قابل ہیں۔ اس دور وزہ بین الاقوامی اقبال کانفرنس کا انعقاد اس بات کا مظہر ہے کہ لوگ بہترین کام کرر ہے ہیں۔ علامہ اقبال نے بکھری ہوئی چیزوں کو جوڑنے اور ترتیب میں لانے کے لیے پیغام دیا ہے۔ انہوں نے برصغیر میں ایک قوم کو فکری دی اور اس کو اکٹھا کیا۔ علامہ اقبال کے فلسفے میں دم تھا۔ انہوں نے کانفرنس میں آئے تمام شرکاء کو خوش آمدید کہا اور شعبہ اقبالیات کے سربراہ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر رفیق السلام اور ان کی پوری ٹیم کو مبارکباد دی۔سربراہ شعبہ اقبالیات و منتظم کانفرنس ڈاکٹر رفیق السلام کا کہنا تھا کہ جب سے وائس چانسلر انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب نے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کی ذمہ داریاں سنبھالی ہیں تب سے یونیورسٹی ترقی کی نئی شاہرہ پر گامزن ہی نہیں بلکہ پرواز کر رہی ہے۔ یونیورسٹی میں فیکلٹی کی تعداد 6سے بڑھ کر 14، شعبہ جات کی تعداد 48سے بڑھ کر 129ہو گئی ہے جبکہ طلباء کی تعداد 13000سے بڑھ کر 55000سے زائد ہو گئی ہے۔ جہاں آج ملک کی کئی جامعات مالی طور پر مشکلات کا شکار ہیں وہاں اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور نہ صرف خود کو معاشی طور پر مستحکم کیا ہے بلکہ نئے شعبہ جات اور فیکلٹی کی بلڈنگ کی تعمیر بھی جاری ہے۔ دریں اثناء آج ہونے والی اختتامی سیشن میں ڈین فیکلٹی آف آرٹس اینڈ لینگوئجزپروفیسر ڈاکٹر جاوید حسان چانڈیو اورسربراہ شعبہ اقبالیات ڈاکٹر رفیق السلام نے کانفرنس کے مندوبین کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔ انہوں نے کانفرنس کے انعقاد پر خصوصی سرپرستی پر وائس چانسلر انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب کا خصوصی شکریہ ادا کیا۔ کانفرنس میں پروفیسر ڈاکٹر قاضی عابد، بہاؤالدین زکریا یونیورسٹی ملتان، ڈائریکٹوریٹ جنرل آف پبلک ریلیشن بہاولپور ناصر حمید، شعبہ میڈیا سٹڈیز کے ڈاکٹر محمد شہزاد رانا، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شفیق احمد، ڈاکٹر ابوبکر، خازن، ڈاکٹر فضل محمود، ڈاکٹر ذیشان تبسم، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر واصف اقبال صدیقی، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اشفاق ورک، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر قاسم جلال، ڈاکٹر روزینہ نقوی،ڈاکٹر عصمت درانی، ڈاکٹر رمضان طاہر، ڈاکٹر محمد اصغر سیال، ڈاکٹر مظہر عباس، ڈاکٹر محمد ممتاز خان، ڈاکٹر فرزانہ ریاض،  ڈاکٹر عاصم ثقلین درانی، پروفیسر قدرت اللہ شہزاد، پروفیسر نعمان فاروق، معروف سیاسی و سماجی شخصیت عبدالخالق قریشی، معروف صحافی اور کالم نگار محمد انور گریوال، معزز ڈینز، ڈائریکٹرز، چیئر پرسنز اور معزز اساتذہ کرام، عمائدین شہر اور یونیورسٹی کے طلباء و طالبات نے کثیرتعداد میں شریک ہوئے۔
