Vice Chancellor of the Kohsar University Murree visited the Islamia University of Bahawalpur

Prof. Dr. Habib Bokhari , Vice Chancellor of the Kohsar University Murree visited the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. The Honourable guest called on Prof Dr. Athar Mahboob Vice Chancellor Islamia University of Bahawalpur at his office at Baghdad ul Jadeed Campus and discussed various avenues of collaboration in the areas of mutual interest. On this occasion Prof. Dr. Habib Bokhari apprised about the vision and working of Kohsar University. Both sides agreed to sign an MoU of cooperation and collaboration in tourism and hospitality management areas as well as to start faculty and student exchange between the two institutions. Prof Dr. Athar Mahboob assured his full support to the newly established university. Later, the Vice Chancellor Kohsar University visited Cholistan Institute of Desert Studies and interacted with Director Prof Dr. Tanveer Hussain Turabi and faculty members where he was briefed about research on Cholistani flora and fauna and collaboration with Houbara Foundation International for conservation of Cholistani wildlife. Prof Dr. Habib Bokhari also visited the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management Of the Institute of Business Management and Administrative Sciences,  the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. He was introduced to the faculty members and was given a brief presentation by Dr. Muhammad Imran Rasheed, HoD Department of Tourism Director on the working and activities of the Islamia University Bahawalpur in the areas of tourism promotion in the region and the country. Participants also discussed that there is a need to establish a tourism education accreditation council in Pakistan to promote the standards of the newly started degree of BS Tourism. They also discussed a consortium of public sector universities for working in the field of Tourism in Pakistan.

کوہسار یونیورسٹی مری کے وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر حبیب بخاری نے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپورکا دورہ کیا۔ معزز مہمان نے پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور سے بغداد الجدید کیمپس میں اپنے دفتر میں ملاقات کی اور باہمی دلچسپی کیامور پر تبادلہ خیال کیا۔اس موقع پر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر حبیب بخاری نے کوہسار یونیورسٹی کے ویژن اور کام سے آگاہ کیا۔ دونوں جانب سے باہمی تعاون کے ایک معاہدے اور فیکلٹی اور طلباء کی سطح پررابطے بڑھانے پر اتفاق کیاگیا۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب نے نئی قائم شدہ یونیورسٹی کو اپنے مکمل تعاون کی یقین دہانی کرائی۔ وائس چانسلر کوہسار یونیورسٹی نے چولستان انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف ڈیزرٹ اسٹڈیز کا دورہ کیا اور ڈائریکٹر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر تنویر حسین ترابی اور فیکلٹی ممبران سے بات چیت کی جہاں انہیں چولستانی نباتات اور حیوانات کی تحقیق کے بارے میں بتایا گیا۔اس موقع پر ادویاتی پودوں،ہوبارہ فاؤنڈیشن انٹرنیشنل کے ساتھ چولستانی پرندوں اور جانوروں کے تحفظ کے اقدامات،انگوروں اور زیتون کی کاشت کے بارے میں بھی آگاہ کیا گیا۔پروفیسر ڈاکٹر حبیب بخاری نے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف بزنس مینجمنٹ اینڈ ایڈمنسٹریٹو سائنسز کے محکمہ سیاحت اور ہاسپٹلٹی مینجمنٹ کا بھی دورہ کیا۔ اس موقع پرخطہ اور ملک میں سیاحت کے فروغ کے لئے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کی سرگرمیوں کے بارے میں ڈائریکٹر ٹورزم ڈپارٹمنٹ ڈاکٹر محمد عمران رشید نے ایک بریفنگ دی۔  پاکستان میں بی ایس ٹورازم کی ڈگری کے معیار اور پاکستان میں ٹورازم ایجوکیشن ایکریڈیشن کونسل کے قیام کی ضرورت پر تبادلہ خیال کیا گیا۔ پاکستان میں ٹورازم کے شعبے میں کام کرنے کیلئے سرکاری شعبے کی یونیورسٹیوں کا کنسورشیم بنانے پر بھی تبادلہ خیال کیاگیا۔
