Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran met with Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan in Lahore

Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan has said that the role of local universities is of key importance in the social and economic development of South Punjab. Universities should ensure high standards in teaching and research and produce the best human resources, as well as work for the development and prosperity of the local community. The Punjab Governor expressed these views during a meeting with the Vice Chancellor of Islamia University of Bahawalpur and MNS University of Engineering and Technology Multan, Professor Dr. Muhammad Kamran, at the Governor House, Lahore today. The governor said that universities should take steps for the welfare of students along with economic management. On this occasion, the Vice Chancellor briefed the Chancellor on administrative and financial matters in both the universities and informed him about the ongoing curricular and co-curricular activities at the campuses. He said that the fall semester activities are going on in full swing in both universities. Two international conferences were successfully held at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur recently in which eminent national and foreign delegates participated.  The Governor of Punjab appreciated the good performance of Islamia University in the quality ranking and expressed hope that the process of improving administrative and financial matters in the university would continue in the right direction.

گورنر پنجاب سردار سلیم حیدر خان نے کہا ہے کہ جنوبی پنجاب کی سماجی اور معاشی ترقی میں مقامی جامعات کا کردار کلیدی اہمیت کا حامل ہے۔ جامعات تدریس و تحقیق میں اعلی معیار کو یقینی بنا کر بہترین افرادی قوت پیدا کرنے کے ساتھ ساتھ مقامی کمیونٹی کی ترقی اور خوشحالی کے لئے کام کریں۔ گورنر پنجاب نے ان خیالات کا اظہار آج گورنر ہائوس لاہور میں وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور اور ایم این ایس یونیورسٹی آف انجینئرنگ اینڈ ٹیکنالوجی ملتان پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران سے ایک ملاقات کے دوران کیا۔ گورنر نے کہا کہ جامعات معاشی نظم و نسق کے ساتھ طلباء و طالبات کی فلاح و بہبود کے لیے بھی اقدامات کریں۔ اس موقع پر وائس چانسلر نے چانسلر کو دونوں جامعات میں انتظامی و مالیاتی معاملات پر بریف کیا اور جاری نصابی اور ہم نصابی سرگرمیوں سے آگاہ کیا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ دونوں جامعات میں فال سیمسٹر کی سرگرمیاں زوروشور سے جاری ہیں۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں حال ہی دو بین الاقوامی کانفرنسز کامیابی سے منعقد ہوئیں جن میں نامور ملکی اور غیر ملکی مندوبین نے شرکت کی۔ گورنر پنجاب نے کوالٹی رینکنگ میں اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی کی بہتر کارکردگی کو سراہا اور امید ظاہر کی کہ جامعہ میں انتظامی اور مالی معاملات کی بہتری کا عمل صحیح خطوط پر جاری رہے گا۔
