Caretaker Sports Minister Punjab Wahab Riaz appreciated the curricular and co-curricular activities, research and development projects in the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Talking to Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob on the occasion of his visit to the Islamia University of Bahawalpur today, he said that the University exceptional performance in all fields is commendable. The Vice-Chancellor told him on this occasion that under the E-Rozgar program, 10 badges have been graduated so far and foreign exchange worth crores of rupees has been earned. Similarly, Islamia University Bahawalpur is associated with various projects of Punjab Information Technology Board and the university students as well as the youth of the area are getting skills in freelancing courses and other fields. On the occasion of his visit to Sadiq Computing and Research Center, the provincial minister visited E-Rozgar and Plan 9 laboratories and met the students under training. The provincial minister visited the newly constructed cricket ground at the University Sports Complex and termed it as an international standard stadium as the best gift for Bahawalpur. During his visit, the provincial minister also met the students of the University Sports Society and discussed the ongoing sports activities in the university. On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Aftab Hussain Gillani, Chairman Department of Pakistan Studies, Dr. Azhar Hussain, Director Students Affairs, Shahzad Ahmed Khalid Director Press Media and Publications, Muhammad Nasir Additional Director IT, Shahid Afzal Durrani Director Career Counseling and Placement Center, Haroon Malana, Abdul Samad, Dr. Ambreen Maqsood Director of Sports Female and students were present.

نگراں وزیر کھیل پنجاب وہاب ریاض نے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور میں نصابی اور ہم نصابی سرگرمیوں، تحقیقی اور ترقیاتی منصوبوں کو سراہا۔ آج اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کے دورے کے موقع پر وائس چانسلر انجینئرپروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے انہوں نے کہا کہ جامعہ اسلامیہ کی تمام شعبوں میں غیر معمولی کارکردگی قابل ستائش ہے۔ وائس چانسلر نے اس موقع پر انہیں بتایا کہ ای روزگار پروگرام کے تحت اب تک 10 بیجزفارغ التحصیل ہو چکے ہیں اور کروڑوں روپے کا زرمبادلہ کمایا ہے۔ اسی طرح اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور پنجاب انفارمیشن ٹیکنالوجی بورد کے مختلف منصوبوں سے منسلک ہے اور یونیورسٹی طلباء وطالبات کے ساتھ ساتھ علاقے کے نوجوان فری لانسنگ کورس اور دیگر شعبوں میں مہارت حاصل کر رہے ہیں۔ ڈیجیٹل ساؤتھ پنجاب روڈ شو کے ذریعے جنوبی پنجاب کے 16 شہروں اور قصبوں کو انفارمیشن ٹیکنالوجی کی جدید پیش رفت سے جوڑ ا گیا۔ صوبائی وزیر نے صادق کمپیوٹنگ اینڈ ریسرچ سنٹر کے دورے کے موقع پر ای روزگار اور پلان 9 کی لیبارٹریوں کا دورہ کیا اور زیر تربیت طلباء وطالبات سے ملاقات کی۔ صوبائی وزیر نے یونیورسٹی سپورٹس کمپلیکس میں نو تعمیر شدہ کرکٹ گرؤنڈ کا دورہ کیا اور اسے بین الاقوامی معیار کا اسٹیڈیم  قرار دیتے ہوئے بہاول پور کے لیے بہترین تحفہ قرار دیا۔ صوبائی وزیر نے اپنے دورے کے دوران یونیورسٹی سپورٹس سوسائٹی کے عہدیداران سے بھی ملاقات کی اور یونیورسٹی میں جاری کھیلوں کی سرگرمیوں سے متعلق تبادلہ خیال کیا۔ اس موقع پر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر آفتاب حسین گیلانی چیئرمین شعبہ پاکستان سٹڈیز، ڈاکٹر اظہر حسین ڈائریکٹر سٹوڈنٹس افیئرز، شہزاد احمد خالد ڈائریکٹر پریس میڈیا اینڈ پبلیکیشنز،محمد ناصر ایڈیشنل ڈائریکٹر آئی ٹی، شاہد افضل درانی ڈائریکٹر  کیریئر کونسلنگ اینڈ پلیسمنٹ سنٹر، ہارون ملانہ، عبدالصمد، ڈاکٹرامبرین مقصود ڈائریکٹر سپورٹس فی میل اور طلباء وطالبات موجود تھے۔
