VC Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob reviewed various activities on the occasion of his visit to Rahim Yar Khan Campus

Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur reviewed the teaching, research and development activities on the occasion of his visit to Rahim Yar Khan Campus today. On this occasion, he also visited the under construction academic block consisting of 41 rooms at a cost of 187 million rupees. This academic block consists of faculty rooms, lecture theatres, classrooms and laboratories. The Vice-Chancellor said that this academic block will help meet the rapidly growing needs of teachers and students in the campus. In the briefing on the occasion, it was mentioned that the campus has made extraordinary progress in every field in the last three years. The number of students has increased from 900 to 7500, similarly the number of faculty members has increased from 13 to 150. The Vice-Chancellor appreciated the efforts of Director Campus Umair Ashraf for landscaping the campus and making the campus green. He also planted saplings in the campus as part of the plantation drive. The Vice-Chancellor also inaugurated the state-of-the-art fitness center and gym for faculty members and students during his visit to the campus. On this occasion, the Vice Chancellor also visited the museum site in the campus to preserve the biodiversity of Cholistan. The Vice-Chancellor also inspected the new water tank to improve the water requirements of the campus. During the visit, Campus Director Umair Ashraf briefed the Vice Chancellor about the ongoing curricular and co-curricular activities in the campus and informed that steps are being taken to add new classrooms and laboratories as well as sports facilities in the campus. The campus has achieved the status of a mini university and most of the campus has been landscaped.

انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور نے آج رحیم یار خان کیمپس کے دورے کے موقع پر تدریسی، تحقیقی اور ترقیاتی سرگرمیوں کا جائزہ لیا۔ اس موقع پر انہوں نے 187ملین روپے کی لاگت سے 41 کمروں پر مشتمل زیر تعمیر اکیڈمک بلاک کا بھی دورہ کیا۔ یہ اکیڈمک بلاک فیکلٹی رومز، لیکچر تھیٹرز، کلاس رومز اور لیبارٹریوں پر مشتمل ہے۔ وائس چانسلر نے کہا کہ یہ اکیڈمک بلاک کیمپس میں اساتذہ اور طلباء وطالبات کی تیزی سے بڑھتی ہوئی ضروریات کو پورا کرنے میں مدد دے گا۔ اس موقع پر بریفنگ میں بتایا گیا کہ گزشتہ تین برسوں میں کیمپس نے ہر شعبے میں غیر معمولی ترقی کی ہے۔ طلباء وطالبات کی تعداد 900 سے بڑھ کر 7500ہو گئی ہے اسی طرح فیکلٹی ممبران کی تعداد 13سے بڑھ کر 150ہو گئی ہے۔ وائس چانسلر نے کیمپس کی لینڈ سیکیپنگ اور کیمپس کو گرین بنانے کے لیے ڈائریکٹر کیمپس عمیر اشرف کی کاوشوں کو سراہا۔ انہوں نے شجرکاری مہم کے تحت کیمپس میں پودا بھی لگایا۔ وائس چانسلر نے کیمپس کے دورے کے دوران فیکلٹی ممبران اور طلباء وطالبات کے لیے سٹیٹ آف دی آرٹ فرنس سنٹر اور جم کا بھی افتتاح کیا۔ اس موقع پر وائس چانسلرنے چولستان کی بائیو ڈائیورسٹی کو محفوظ کرنے کے لیے کیمپس میں میوزیم کی جگہ کا بھی دورہ کیا۔ وائس چانسلر نے کیمپس میں پانی کی ضروریات کو بہتر بنانے کے لیے پانی کے نئے تالاب کا بھی جائزہ لیا۔ دورے کے دوران کیمپس ڈائریکٹر عمیر اشرف نے وائس چانسلر کو کیمپس میں جاری نصابی اور ہم نصابی سرگرمیوں سے متعلق بریفنگ دی اور بتایا کہ کیمپس میں نئے کلاس رومز اور لیبارٹریوں کے ساتھ ساتھ کھیلوں کے سہولیات میں اضافے کے لیے اقدامات کیے جا رہے ہیں۔ یہ کیمپس منی یونیورسٹی کادرجہ حاصل کر چکا ہے اور کیمپس کا زیادہ تر حصہ سرسبزو شاداب بنایا جا چکا ہے۔
