Worthy Vice Chancellor visit Dow University of Health Sciences Karachi

Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar MAhboob, Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has said that Dow University of Health Sciences Karachi is playing a significant role in the field of medicine. The Vice Chancellor expressed these views while talking to Prof. Dr. Zarnaz, Pro Vice Chancellor, Dow University of Health Sciences and Dr. Basil, Director, Institute of Nursing, Dow University on the occasion of his visit to Dow International Medical College Karachi today. Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Vice Chancellor paid appreciated services of Vice Chancellor Dow University of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Saeed Qureshi and his team and their outstanding contribution in the medical field. Cooperation in the field of teaching and research between the two institutions was also discussed on the occasion. Dr. Fazal Mehmood Khan, Director Health Education Project, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur was also present during the meeting. The Vice Chancellor said that the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has recently stepped into the field of Allied Health Sciences and a state-of-the-art nursing school. Similarly, departments of physiotherapy and medical lab technology have been set up in the University. In the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has an important place in the country. Leading institutions like Dow University of Health Sciences are the best example for Islamia University of Bahawalpur in setting up new departments of Medical Sciences. During his visit, Vice Chancellor met with medical staff engaged in services and visited clinical laboratories, radiology, the College of Nursing and other departments.

انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیوسٹی بہاول پور نے کہا ہے کہ ڈاوؤ یونیورسٹی آف ہیلتھ سائنسز میڈیکل کے شعبے میں نمایاں کردار ادا کر رہی ہے۔ وائس چانسلر نے ان خیالات کا اظہار آج ڈاؤ انٹرنیشنل میڈیکل کالج کے دورے کے موقع پر پروفیسر ڈکٹر زرناز پرو وائس چانسلر ڈاؤ یونیورسٹی آف ہیلتھ سائنسز اور ڈاکٹر باسل ڈائریکٹر انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف نرسنگ ڈاؤ یونیورسٹی سے گفتگو کرتے ہو ئے کیا۔انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب نے وائس چانسلر ڈاؤ یونیورسٹی آف ہیلتھ سائنسز پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سعید قریشی اور اُن کی ٹیم کو میڈیکل شعبے میں بہترین خدمات پر خراج تحسین پیش کیا۔اس موقع پر دونوں اِداروں کے مابین تدریس وتحقیق کے شعبے میں اشتراکِ عمل پر بھی تبادلہ خیال کیا گیا۔ ملاقات کے دوران ڈاکٹر فضل محمود خان ڈائریکٹر ہیلتھ ایجوکیشن پراجیکٹ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور بھی موجود تھے۔وائس چانسلر نے کہا کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور نے حال ہی میں الائیڈ ہیلتھ سائنسز کے میدا ن میں قدم رکھا ہے اور جدید ترین سہولیات سے آراستہ نرسنگ سکول قائم کیا جا رہا ہے۔ اِسی طرح فزیو تھراپی اور میڈیکل لیب ٹیکنالوجی کے شعبہ جات قائم کیے گئے ہیں۔ فارماسیوٹیکل سائنسز کے میدان میں اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور ملکی سطح پر اہم مقام کی حامل ہے۔میڈیکل سائنسز کے نئے شعبہ جات کے قیام میں ڈاؤ یونیورسٹی آف ہیلتھ سائنسز جیسے ممتاز اِدارے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کے لیے بہترین مثال کی حیثیت رکھتے ہیں۔ انہوں نے اپنے دورے کے دوران خدمات میں مصروف طبی عملے سے ملاقات کی اور کلینکل لیبارٹری، ریڈیالوجی، کالج آف نرسنگ اور دیگر شعبہ جات کا دورہ کیا۔
