WVC Engr Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob visited Rajanpur district and distributed Eid package ration among the flood victims

Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob today visited the flood-affected village Patyat on the outskirts of Fazilpur town of Rajanpur district and distributed Eid package ration to more than 250 people. On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob said that the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Flood Relief Cell was established on the instructions of the Governor of the Punjab and Chancellor, Muhammad Baligh-ur-Rehman and under this cell, more than 3 crores worth of relief materials have been distributed to the affected areas of Rajanpur, Rahim Yar Khan. The Islamia University of Bahawalpur did not forget the people affected by the flood and on the occasion of Eid, an aid package worth 2 million was distributed simultaneously in Rajanpur and Dera Ghazi Khan districts. In addition, medicines were also distributed to the flood victims. On this occasion, Focal Person of Flood Relief Cell Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Prof. Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha said that the Islamia University of Bahawalpur worked for the relief of flood affected people. He informed the Vice Chancellor in the briefing that Rajanpur A welfare organization Helping Hand is also building 204 housing units in the suburbs. Apart from this, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur also provided veterinary and medical facilities in these areas and provided psychological support to the affected people. On this occasion, Tehsildar Rajanpur, Rai Hasan Nawaz, Director Press Media and Publications, Mr. Shahzad Ahmed Khalid, Senior Producer Mr. Athar Lashari among the faculty members, Mr. Sabtain Raza, Mr. Ahmed Nawaz, Executive Secretary to Vice Chancellor, Mr. Muhammad Khalid Sheikh and others were also present.

وائس چانسلر انجینئرپروفیسرڈاکٹر اطہرمحبوب نے آج ضلع راجن پور کے قصبے فاضل پور کے مضافات میں سیلاب سے متاثرہ گاؤں پتیات کا دورہ کیا اور 250 سے زائد افراد میں عید پیکج راشن تقسیم کیا ہے۔ اس موقع پر وائس چانسلر انجینئر پروفیسرڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب نے کہا کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور فلڈ ریلیف سیل گورنر پنجاب و چانسلرمحمد بلیغ الرحمن کی ہدایت پر قائم کیا گیا اور اس سیل کے تحت اب تک راجن پور، رحیم یار خان کے متاثرہ علاقوں میں 3 کروڑ سے زائد کا امدادی سامان تقسیم کیا جا چکا ہے۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور سیلاب سے متاثرہ لوگوں کو نہیں بھولی اور عید کے موقع پر ضلع راجن پوراور ضلع ڈیرہ غازی خان میں بیک وقت 2 ملین مالیت کا امدادی پیکج تقسیم کیا گیا ہے۔ اس کے علاوہ سیلاب متاثرین میں ادویات بھی پہنچائی جا رہی ہیں۔ اس موقع پر فلڈریلیف سیل اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کے فوکل پرسن پروفیسر ڈاکٹر آصف نوید رانجھا نے کہا کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور نے سیلاب سے متاثرہ لوگوں کے ریلیف کے لئے کام کیا۔ انہوں نے وائس چانسلر کو بریفنگ میں آگاہ کیا کہ راجن پور کے نواحی علاقوں میں ایک فلاحی تنظیم ہیلپنگ ہینڈ 204 ہاؤسنگ یونٹ بھی بنا رہی ہے۔اس کے علاوہ ان علاقوں میں اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور ویٹرنری اور میڈیکل کی سہولیات بھی بہم پہنچائی اور متاثرہ لوگوں کو سائیکالوجیکل سپورٹ بھی فراہم قائم کی گئی۔ اس موقع پر تحصیل دار راجن پور، رائے حسن نواز، ڈائریکٹر پریس میڈیا اینڈ پبلیکشنز، شہزاد احمد خالد، سینئر پروڈیوسر اطہر لاشاری فیکلٹی ممبران میں سبطین رضا، احمد نواز، ایگزیکٹو سیکریٹری ٹو وائس چانسلر محمد خالد شیخ و دیگر بھی وائس چانسلر کے ہمراہ تھے۔
