Academic Counciil, IUB approved Study Skills Capacity Building Training Program

Academic Council, IUB approved Executive Training Center proposal to launch study skills capacity building training for BS programs students. All new enrolled BS students of IUB will be trained under Executive Training Center, IBMAS IUB.

Development And Validation of Measurement Scale Introductory Session

Executive Training Center (ETC) in collaboration with The Department of Administrative Sciences, IBMAS, IUB organized a workshop on “Scale Development and Validation” at Ghotvi Hall, Abbasia Campus on June 30, 2021. Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, the Vice Chancellor inaugurated the workshop and expressed his views that this workshop is unique in its nature and will facilitate a constant flow of knowledge and bring advancement in the measurement paradigm. Prof. Dr. Jawad Iqbal, Dean Management Sciences, discussed the importance of research, methodology and the need for measurement in scientific research and encouraged the participants to work on scale development. As a resource person, Dr. Shahid Mahmood, Chairman, Department of Administrative Sciences, explained the detailed process of conceptualization of new construct, development and validation of measurement scale. Faculty members of various departments, PhD/MS Scholars and researchers attended and appreciated the efforts of resource person and organizers of the event.

Rizvi, Program Manager, ETC discuss different collaborative opportunities. 

P@SHA Meetup 2020

The Executive Training Center (ETC), IBMAS-IUB in collaboration with S@PTA and Pakistan Software Houses Association arranged P@SHA Meetup. More than 70 CEOs of different tech enterprises from South Punjab were participated in the event. Future collaborations, and IT park project were discussed in this session. Dr. Jawad Iqbal, Dean/ Director, IBMAS, IUB grace the event as guest of honour.

Entrepreneurship Summit – Road to Entrepreneurship

Executive Training Center (ETC) in collaboration with Department of Entrepreneurship & Innovation organized Entrepreneurship Summit entitled “Road to Entrepreneurship”. Prominent Entrepreneur and Social Media Influencer were the keynote speaker which includes; Shahid Hussain Joia (YouTuber, Entrepreneur), Murshad Masud Qazi (Entrepreneur from USA), Usman Chughtai eCommerce wala and prominent political personality of Bahawalpur, Mr. Sami Ullah Ch Sb (MPA/ Former Food Minister). 

Leadership Training for University Teachers

As per great vision of the Worthy Vice Chancellor, Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob (TI) The Executive Training Center, School of Business, Management & Administrative Sciences, IUB organized a Leadership Training for University Teachers on Dated: November 10, 2020.

In first phase 35 faculty members representing faculty of Management Sciences, Engineering, Education and Arts participated. Worthy Vice Chancellor conducted a four-hour extensive training and share various important thoughts, i.e., Human Progress over the ages, The Information Pyramid, Industry need from the university, and Leadership styles.

Teaching as a Profession

Teaching as a Profession (TAAP) @ IBMAS-IUB 4 day extensive training program for newly appointed Associate Lecturers was successfully completed on December 18, 2020. This training workshop was organized by Executive Training Center, School of Business, Management & Administrative Sciences, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur as per the great vision of the Worthy Vice Chancellor, Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob and kind leadership of Prof. Dr. Jawad Iqbal, Head Executive Training Center. In Batch-I, 35 Associate Lecturers representing different departments of the Islamia University participated and Prof. Dr. Aslam Adeeb, HEC Educator Trainer was the key resource for the training. He covered multiple important topics, i.e., Passion for teaching profession, teaching in the 21st century, Ethics & Professional Responsibilities, Teacher as a change agent, Personality Development, Preparing Course File, Lesson Planning and Essentials of Online teaching. At the Closing Ceremony, the assessment was taken from the participants and a certificate of participation was distributed among them by Dean, Management Sciences Prof. Dr. Jawad Iqbal. Participants also present a portrait as a souvenir to Prof. Dr. Aslam Adeeb at the end of the ceremony.

Entrepreneurial Talk

On November 13, 2020 Mr. Hassaan Khan, BDM Jazz Pakistan and IUB Alumni grace the event as guest speaker under the banner of Lecture series "Entrepreneurship Talk". Department of Entrepreneurship & Innovation and Executive Training Center (ETC), Institute of Business, Management & Administrative Sciences, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur initiated Lecture series entitled "Entrepreneurship Talk" with an aim to orient students about the market and success stories by inviting Market Expert, Entrepreneurs and Alumni.

In August 28, 2020 Executive Training Center Provide refresher training course to grade 1 to grade 4 employees of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Dr. Hassan Danial Aslam, Coordinator ETC and Mr. Irfan Hidayat, Deputy Registrar were the keynote speaker and Prof. Dr. Jawad Iqbal, Head ETC and Dean Management Sciences grace this learning workshop as the Chief Guest.

ETC signs MoU for certified training of Halal food in South Punjab

• Four-day training workshop “Teaching as a Profession” for Associate Lecturers is completed on October 18, 2020
• ETC signs MoU with Idea Gist (Gist Technologies) to offer free online Entrepreneurship Training course to IUB students.
• ETC in collaboration with S@PTA organized P@SHA meetup. More than 100 Tech/Digital Entrepreneurs participated.
• ETC initiated webinar series in collaboration with different department of IBMAS-IUB.
• ETC conducted training for newly appointed officers of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur from March 01 to March 05, 2021
