The primary purpose of the department of Physical Education & Sports Sciences is to cater to the growing demands of talented youth in sports education. The department helps to promote the philosophy of healthy lifestyle which is defined by physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual features. Hence, the aim of Physical Education program is to provide protection against deteriorating health, unhygienic environment and to promote health through acquisition of skills and knowledge that can be integrated into a holistic lifestyle. For this purpose, the courses have been designed in a professional manner starting from anatomy & physiology of human body to physical & health education, sports medicine, sports psychology, sports coaching, and sports management. In a short span of time, the department has received an overwhelming response from the rest of the country. The faculty has a motive to impart quality education to produce quality sports leaders to uplift the standard of national sports in the international scenario. The department provides modern sports facilities and equipment to the students. In near future, a fully equipped human performance laboratory will be established for performance analysis.
